Tool for Health

http://caloriecount.about.com
This is a great website to help you track your calories burned and calories taken in. I've been using it for almost a week now. It's similar to what the Body Bugg software does - although it's not as precise. I've been using it to help me keep a calorie intake deficit of at least 500 calories a day. Yesterday I had the munchies and wanted to eat everything. Today is better - I'll just drink more water. I find it difficult to sit at my desk especially with summer and nice weather approaching. It kills me to sit and look out the window and know that I'm "trapped" inside for most of the day.

Yardwork
Here are some pictures of our yard. Both of our Princess Kay Plums are blooming. The lighting was poor, so this picture doesn't show its true beauty. We have ripped out loads of grass to replace with planting beds. We were fortunate enough that our neighbor had brick that he wasn't going to use and let us have it. I think it looks very nice as a border. We are going to try for a few vegetable gardens this year. We slacked a bit last year. I'm excited to have good produce with chemicals not included.
The first picture is of our herb garden. So far we have chives, mint, thyme, oregano, cilantro, garlic, onions and dill weed. The second bed is of our strawberry patch. We love home grown strawberries. I can't believe the difference in taste. They have 10 times more flavor than the store bought option. The last is Ben working on the border of another garden patch. He's so industrious.

Arizona
Alan, Cindy and Brock have the best pool. It's such a pretty
color. It's heated so it's always a perfect temp. Cold water
isn't the funnest to play in.

Here are some more shots of us golfing at Mesa Golf
Center. Ben swings like he's playing baseball.
We got to go and watch play baseball. He's one
of the smallest and youngest players on his team.
His team, the Red Sox won. Go Brock!

Arizona
We hit the driving range and the putting green.
We need to go more to get better.
I think we're better from the last time we came.
Marie is finally able to hit the ball squarely.
They're going to be parents soon.
They have a great heated pool.
Isn't the surface a pretty color?
Good choice.
There's nothing like warm water.
Cold water is just not fun.

Arches
The Garden of Eden. We hiked around a bit here. Slickrock is so fun to play on.
The Delicate Arch. We decided that we'd hiked to the base enough times. There were too many people there that day. It was crowded, so we decided to look at it from a viewpoint we'd never seen before... the backside.
The Fiery Furnace. It would have been cool to hike through, but it's limited and guided by a ranger.
The Landscape Arch. It's getting skinny. I hope it lasts awhile longer. It's 6 feet thick at its narrowest.
This is at the Sand Dune Arch. The entrance reminds me of the Needles District at Canyonlands. We have to do that on another trip. I think Ben will really like it.
We're getting pretty good at taking our own pictures. This one isn't the best, but it's kind of a shot at the Sand Dune Arch. There were a few people, so we had to hurry and get a shot before someone got in the picture.

Grand Canyon '05
Here we are sightseeing around the rim. I think I'm always taking the picture, so I'm always on the left. I'm a pro at taking our own pictures.
